Plant giveaway from Tuesday, April 22 – Friday, April 25 business hours

Residents are welcome to pick up a free plant for their property.  Only one (1) plant per property.  Please bring ID as we will mark your property as a participant of the plant giveaway.

Office hours for Tuesday, April 22 – Friday, April 25:

Monday, April 21 – Closed

Tuesday, April 22 – 8am – 7pm

Wednesday, April 23 – 8am – 7pm

Thursday, April 24 – 8am – 7pm

Friday, April 25 – 8am – 3pm

Any leftover plants will be given to the Dorsey Hall Garden Club for use in the public garden they maintain off of Grey Rock Drive in the Dorsey Hall neighborhood.

Please note:  The Weed Warriors will be pulling Garlic Mustard along the Little Patuxent River path on Saturday, April 26 from 9-11am & 1-3pm.  Join them for one session or for both, weather permitting.  Cancellation will be posted on the Village website and social media sites.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding this event, please email:   sandy@thompdale.com

NO Election!

Christine Simpson has submitted her withdrawal for Village Board of Directors Candidacy.

There are three (3) Candidates left for Village Board of Directors and only three (3) seats open.  NO ELECTION!

Dorsey’s Search Community Association, Inc. By-Laws: Article II; Section 2.4. Election of Directors states: “…if after the date for which nominations for the Board of Directors are closed, the number of nominees meeting the requirements is less than or equal to the number of vacant director positions, the qualified nominees shall be deemed to have been elected by the members….”

Thank you to our members that have requested Absentee Ballots and those who have voted. You may return the ballots or place them in your recycling bin.

These newly elected seats are for a 2 year term which begins on May 1, 2025 and will end on April 30, 2027

Richard (Dick) Boulton

Russell Stephenson and Ellen Mackey terms end on April 30, 2026.  Their seats will be open for election next year.
